1 — WHAT WE BELIEVE
What We Believe
We hold to the historic Christian faith as revealed in Scripture. At the heart of everything we teach is the grace of God offered to all who believe in Jesus Christ.
Salvation by Grace Through Faith Alone
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. No works, rituals, or human effort can earn or contribute to salvation. The moment a person believes in Christ for eternal life, they are saved — completely and forever.
Assurance of Salvation
We believe that every believer can and should have full assurance of eternal life. Assurance is based on the promise of God's Word — not on feelings, experiences, or performance. Because salvation depends entirely on Christ's finished work, the believer's assurance rests on what God has said, not on what we do.
Eternal Security
We believe that once a person has trusted in Christ for salvation, they are kept by the power of God and sealed by the Holy Spirit forever. Eternal life cannot be lost, forfeited, or returned. God finishes what He starts.
Our Doctrinal Positions
We believe that while salvation is free, discipleship costs everything. Following Christ is a daily choice to deny self, take up the cross, and walk in obedience. Discipleship is not a condition of salvation, but it is the call of every believer — and it's where real transformation happens.
We believe that the Christian life is motivated by grace, not guilt or fear. We obey God not to earn His favor, but because we already have it. Love for Christ, gratitude for the cross, and the desire to honor God are what drive faithful living — not fear of losing salvation.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. We are committed to studying and teaching the Scriptures plainly, in context, and without distortion.
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God — equal in essence, power, and glory — yet distinct in role.
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitute for sinners, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return again. He is the only way to the Father.
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer at the moment of faith, sealing them for the day of redemption. He convicts of sin, illuminates Scripture, empowers for service, and produces spiritual fruit in the believer's life.
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all who have trusted in Him for salvation. The local church gathers for worship, teaching, fellowship, and the equipping of believers for works of service. Every member has a role to play.
We believe that every believer is called to grow in Christlikeness. Sanctification is the ongoing, progressive work of the Holy Spirit in cooperation with the believer. It is distinct from justification — we are saved by faith, and we grow by walking in the Spirit.
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God but fell through Adam's sin. As a result, all people are born with a sin nature, are spiritually dead, and are in need of salvation that only God can provide.
We believe in the existence of angels as created beings who serve God. Satan is a fallen angel who opposes God and His people but is a defeated enemy whose final judgment is certain.
We believe that every believer is called to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations. This is not an option — it is a command. The church exists to glorify God by proclaiming His grace to the world.
We believe in the literal, bodily return of Jesus Christ. We hold to a pretribulational rapture of the church, followed by a seven-year tribulation period and the establishment of Christ's millennial kingdom on earth.
We believe that God has worked through distinct dispensations — or administrations — throughout history. Understanding these distinctions helps us rightly divide the Word of Truth and avoid misapplying Scripture.
We believe in two distinct future judgments. The Judgment Seat of Christ is for believers, where faithfulness in the Christian life is evaluated and rewarded — salvation is not at stake. The Great White Throne Judgment is for unbelievers, who are judged according to their works and separated from God forever.
John 3:16 (NKJV)
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
